Gift Guide: Couples Gifts

This is the first post of my gift guide. It's not broken out by gender or age, but rather, the type of recipient. Let's be real, I just broke them out by the types of gifts I need to buy. Help me, help you, help me. Ya know?

These gifts would be great to give to a couple or individual as a household gift. All are under $25 as that is the stipulation for gifts in my family this year.

Wouldn't this look good in a kitchen? Its easy on the eyes, has a bit of tension but is still gender neutral. 

Something for the home that is seasonal is nice too.

This is a dollar over the price point, but it's such a good idea.

If they have pets, getting something for the dog or cat could be a way to give something for the household!

And it may seem like a cop-out, but I always like getting and giving gift cards. People can then shop themselves and get exactly what they want. And you still get to show them that you know their favorite

Flip-It Friday: What do you want?

I'm always on the hunt for good gift ideas. I get real joy out of giving gifts and knowing that the gifts are bringing their recipients real joy too.

I like this site, Hip Hostess, for some unique, consumable gifts. Etsy is really good for consumables and unique, handmade things. Support the small guy, kinda stuff.

Consumable gifts are the best as they, hit or miss, don't require dusting or for the owner to keep it! It's a low maintenance thing. Unlike sweaters...  or puppies... those don't make good gifts, as a rule.

If you had a birthday coming up or other special occasion, what would you ask for? What are you too timid to ask for that you really secretly want?

Bringing back the Wish List (although my birthday and Christmas are way far off!).

Mr. S and I just both got sucked in to the fundraising at our local NPR, WBEZ. We can never agree on music in the car (he asked me recently if I could find his Hinder CD... I politely refused), so NPR is a nice happy medium for the both of us and often keeps us out of long-distance-driving-car-fights.

So I do, I really do heart NPR.

I was sad when we became members though that mugs were not an option as a membership gift. I saw all of my friend Chelsey's annual mugs and was experiencing some hipster mug envy.

Then I saw this puppy on the NPR swag site (not the WBEZ swag site):

Can I use the rest of our charity budget to buy like 5 of these? Well, heck, I might as well make it a set at 6!
