What to do when you've double-booked yourself.

Cancel.

Easy answer, but sometimes we try to do it all and end up failing at part (if not ALL) of our objectives.

My free time is quickly being sucked up by "should's" and "have-to's". I like my down-time, but even socialites like to sleep sometimes.

Who likes to be late to things? Forget appointments? Not eat a real meal? Wake up in the middle of the night from a dream that you forgot to call so-and-so?

If you are double-booked or booked solid, try carving out time for you. It's not selfish and you need not feel guilty about it. It's ok to tell people "no" - you can't please everyone all of the time. Consider down-time a necessity and let yourself relax. It will help you be more productive in life and enjoy it more along the way.
